What an amazing trip we had! Spent Thursday looking at the Genocide Museum and today looking at the Killing Field. What a touching experience it was for all the Grade 10s.

Back in Phnom Phenh at last. The trip back here from our camp was adventure enough, though we slept a lot along the way. Had an incredible lunch and unforgettable dinner. Also a deeply moving experience at the Genocide Museum. Tomorow we will visit the Killing Fields Museum before heading home. Wow, we have incredible stories to tell! All going well. Early bus to Phnom Penh today. Said goodbyes but looking forward to CAS projects for the Village. Preparing ourselves for the genocide museum.
No photos as we cannot access the internet - sending this info via text to Ms. Hughes! Big day sanding walls, building a house and a dam and planting saplings. Lots of playing with local kids and learning to be global citizens.
Ms. Leggett's bag disappeared between Phnom Penh and the Camp...who will be fortunate enough to sit beside her on the plane home at the end of the week? I mean't to say that the first picture is of us getting a really informative talk about the history of Cambodia. We asked a lot of questions and learnt a lot. Then off we went for a great Cambodian feast... This picture was when we were waiting for the buses to take us to the restaurant. The food was awsome. Huge prawns, delicious chicken curry, etc. etc! There may not be many blog posts for a while, because we won't always have access to the Internet. So keep watching this space! |
